This super capable Motobecane Fantom CX is a do-everything bike, ready for a new owner to put it through it's paces. The frame is composed of light 7005 aluminum, paired with a steel fork, for a light yet durable combination. Equipped with Shimano 2x9 integrated shifter levers, Shimano front & rear derailleurs, Tektro Oryx cantilever brakes, & Truvativ double cranks. Rolling on a 700c Alex wheelset

This bike has a 56cm frame and is best for riders who are between 5'9" and 6'. It is a 18 speed bike with STI shifters The drive system has been tuned up and all gears are working as they should. The brakes have been checked and are operating properly. The 700C tires are in great shape and the tubes hold air. The seat is in great condition and everything is ready to ride.

Just an update. I am still waiting on better weather before I can switch my garage from "winter mode" to "bicycle season". I hope to get started next week.

As the weather permits, I will be getting the garage turned around from being in winter mode to bicycle mode in the next few weeks. I am kind of getting a late start this year, but I am ready to get my hands dirty.

I stopped by the The Bike Place Princeton Illinois last week and met some good people and enjoyed talking bikes for awhile. Put June 23/24 on the calendar this year for Princeton Bike Fest . It is hour drive east on 80 from the Quad Cities.

I hear about bikes being stolen all the time so please. just take 5 minutes right now and write down your serial number or take a picture of it. Also while the camera is out take a picture of your bike. When you get a free moment make a free account at www.bikeindex.org and register your bike. (If you got a bike from me, I may have it registered already so send me a message so I can transfer it to you). I obviously buy a lot of bikes and one of the first things I do when I get home is check the serial number to the registry and then I register it.
