Good morning. I decided today was the day I speak on my absence, both social media and at times DM. I’ve done the best I can to keep up.
I had some decisions to make about my business at the beginning of the year already and then things took yet another turn that demanded my attention. Things that were of a higher priority… my mama. We have been in and out of several hospitals, ranging from ICU to rehab and back to hospitals again. Currently, she is in Chippenham in Richmond and the journey still continues, far from over and a long ways to go. So, I haven’t just been absent from Social Media, I’ve been absent from my home, my office and quite frankly at times MY MIND.
The original decisions had to take a back seat and today I am addressing them. These are things I had to decide, change and stick to in order to continue doing what I love to do for our community.
If you have placed an order in 2026, I will
be reaching out to you one by one. Either myself or someone that has graciously offered to help me, it will still arrive to your inbox as The Nana Doodle. You will be asked how you would like to pay. I currently offer Cash App, or an invoice and will still accept cash but we will need to arrange how the cash is collected before the order goes into production.
I lost over $1500.00 last year in orders that were placed, made and never picked up or paid for. That’s money that came from my family household to make good on orders that were never claimed. As a small business I cannot afford that nor should I be expected to.
If your order is under $99, full payment is expected at the time the order is placed and if your order is $100 or more a 50% deposit at the time the order is placed and the remainder at the time the order is completed.
I have proven over the last 3 years I will always make an order right by the customer but non payment has made my turn around time incredibly slow and it isn’t fair to the ones that have always practiced good business with me.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Some of you I have been able to update and have received so much grace and understanding and I appreciate you more than you will ever know.
Any prayers for my mama are greatly appreciated, we could use all of them. God is good and he has already shown us that he is the one in control, and brought us through so much already and we continue to beleive and trust that he isn’t done with this faithful servant.
