23 years ago, I opened my shop and got s**t on for wanting a clean, welcoming space. If I had listened to the haters back then, I wouldn’t be standing here today. 💯
Take that anxiety, take that anger, and process it into positivity. If you’re building something of your own, keep showing up and stay consistent—it’s worth every second of the journey. 🥂✨

snippet from our latest episode on why hitting a wall with your work isn’t always a lack of talent—sometimes it’s just survival mode.
When a mental block kept him from sitting down to draw, he realized his brain wasn’t in a place to create; it was just trying to keep up with daily life. Creativity requires safety and space, and when you’re operating purely on survival instincts, the artistic part of your mind is often the first thing to shut down.
Recognizing the difference between burning out and losing your spark is crucial. Overcoming a creative block isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about shifting out of survival mode so your brain has room to play again.
Have you ever hit a creative wall because life got too overwhelming? How did you step back and reset? 🎙️🎞️

A snippet from the latest episode, where we talk about the power of staying true to your vision—even when industry “experts” tell you otherwise.

When photographers warned her that getting full tattoo sleeves would end her modeling career, she chose authenticity over playing it safe. Instead of shutting doors, leaning into her unique identity created entirely new opportunities: TV shows, headlining dance performances, and becoming one of the first heavily tattooed showgirls in Vegas.

Sometimes the very thing the industry tells you to suppress is what will set you apart. Authenticity isn’t just a personal choice; it’s a career strategy that builds longevity and opens doors you didn’t even know existed.

Have you ever taken a risk in your career that went completely against industry advice? How did it pay off for you? 🎙️🎞️

A snippet from the latest episode, where we discuss building an authentic brand identity that goes deeper than cheap souvenirs and temporary trends.

When you look at iconic cities like LA or Detroit, people wear the local brands with real pride. But for a long time, Vegas lacked a true home-grown alternative brand for locals—leaving a void filled mostly by generic tourist merch. Creating ‘City of Sin’ wasn’t just about selling gear; it was about building something authentic for the people who actually live here, even if it meant moving countries and starting a support network from scratch.

True brand longevity comes from serving a real community, not just chasing quick, surface-level novelty. When you build something authentic for locals to stand behind, you create a brand that endures.

How are you building authentic connections with your local community through your creative business or brand? 🎙️🎞️

In this snippet from the latest episode, we break down why relying purely on raw talent isn’t enough to survive the long game. When the market shifts and client preferences change, relying on what worked yesterday can hit your pocket hard.
True longevity in the tattoo space means knowing how to run a business, adapting your strategy, and understanding how to manage your money. It’s about building a sustainable foundation, leveling up your business acumen, and mentoring the next generation to do the same—because being a great artist is only half the battle.
How are you adapting your business strategy and financial habits to ensure your creative career stands the test of time? 🎙️🎞️
