They tell you how a disc is designed to fly before you ever throw it. Once you understand them, picking the right disc stops feeling like a guessing game.

Here’s the quick version:

Speed = how fast the disc needs to be thrown
Glide = how long it wants to stay in the air
Turn = what the disc does early in the flight
Fade = how it finishes at the end

A beginner-friendly bag usually means lower speed, higher glide, a little turn, and minimal fade. Think discs like the Axiom Proxy, Axiom Crave, or Discraft Zone SS are forgiving, easy to control, and fun to throw.
