THESE ARE SOME FACTORY FARM THAT STINK FACTS:

About 10 billion land animals in the United States are raised for dairy, meat, and eggs each year. Factory farming accounts for 37% of methane (C H 4) emissions, which has more than 20 times the global warming potential of C O 2. Manure can also contain traces of salt and heavy metals, which can end up in bodies of water and accumulate in the sediment, concentrating as they move up the food chain.

When manure is repeatedly over applied to farm land it causes dangerous levels of phosphorus and nitrogen in the water supply. In such excessive amounts, nitrogen robs water of oxygen and destroys aquatic life. Burning fossil fuels to produce fertilizers for animal feed crops may emit 41 million metric tons of C O 2 per year. Globally, deforestation for animal grazing and feed crops is estimated to emit 2.4 billion tons of
C O 2 every year. Corn, wheat, and rice, the fast-growing crops on which humanity depends for survival, are among the most nitrogen hungry of all plants.

Large-scale animal factories often give animals antibiotics to promote growth, or to compensate for illness resulting from crowded conditions. These antibiotics enter the environment and the food chain. Factory farms contribute to air pollution by releasing compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and methane. The US Department of Agriculture estimates that confined farm animals generate more than 450 million tons of manure annually, 3 times more raw waste than generated by Americans. The waste lagoons on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (C.A.F.O's) not only pollute our groundwater, but deplete it as well. Many of the farms use the groundwater for cleaning, cooling, and drinking.

Juma the jaguar was drugged, chained and used as a “mascot” for the Brazilian Army in an Olympic Torch ceremony in Manaus, Brazil. Minutes later she got off her leash and a member of the Brazilian Army shot her. But she shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

This is our 'Justice For Juma' T-shirt that is available in any size and color. All proceedings earned from our T-shirts goes towards helping save the animals. Any and all support is greatly appreciated. Lets get the word out and save those animals!

In the rush of a disaster people most times only worry about themselves. This shirt is a reminder to take your pets with you in case of disaster. They only have you to count on.
What it means for me is one very large car (1964 4 door caddy.) For my much loved 10 cats, one large dog and 2 goldfish.
P.s. The one goldfish is 8 years old the other 5 years old.
and Yes all these cats have been spayed or neutered.
Remember to always keep in mind the fact that disaster can happen at any given time any where in the world. So please pack enough food and water for your family and your pets for 3 days in some type of easy to grab backpack.
Make a plan
Prepare enough food, water and bedding for all members of the family including your pets with vet records, id tags with collars, leaches and carriers.
more information for disaster preparedness is available on the FEMA website.

FUR IS NOT FOXY
Fur Trade Facts
Fur Farms
Each Year, approximately 50 million animals raised on fur farms around the world, which account for the majority of the world’s fur production, will be killed for their pelts. This number does not include rabbits as accurate figures on the number of rabbits slaughtered annually are hard to come by, but it is estimated that yearly more than a billion rabbits are killed for their pelts. In France alone, 70 million rabbits are killed every year for their fur.

In 2009, there were approximately 300 fur farms in the United States. Wisconsin has the most farms (71), followed by Utah (65), Oregon, Minnesota, and Idaho. In 2011 over 3 million mink were killed for their pelts in the U.S, all in the name of fashion. In Wisconsin, farmers killed and skinned 1,050,580 mink, while Utah murdered 698,960, up 9% from 2010.

Farm Conditions
is close relative to the dog faces an abusive life before succumbing to a horrible death—all for his fur.Mink and foxes are naturally wild animals and do not adapt to life in captivity. Wild mink instinctively range a territory of approximately 741 acres in size. In contrast, ranch-raised mink are confined to a 12” by 18” cage. This type of intensive confinement can result in self-mutilation, cannibalism, and high-level stress that weakens the immune system and makes animals more susceptible to disease.
Approximately 30% of mink herds raised on Utah fur farms carry Aleutian disease (AD). Currently there is no treatment, vaccine or cure for this highly infectious disease, resulting in the mortality of about 20% of the herd annually.

Another risk to life in captivity includes farmers selectively cross-breeding mink with naturally-occurring mutations, which results in fur colors never seen in nature. This has led to genetic defects resulting in deaf white mink and pastel mink with nervous disorders.
Farmed foxes are raised in small outdoor cages, exposed to the harsh elements of winter and summer. Many foxes develop psychotic behavior, literally bouncing off the walls of their cages as they pace furiously back and forth. Many develop foot problems from standing on wire for months on end. In the end, they are electrocuted through the a**s in order to preserve the fur.
Mink, which in the wild are very active animals, are raised in tiny cages, each about the length of the animal's own body. The typical mink farm is comprised of units, each with dozens of rows of individual cages with open sides that expose the animals to harsh weather. Conditions are deplorable and filthy. Farmed mink are killed by gassing, violent neck breaking or poisoning; all slow grueling deaths. Approximately 10% of animals die every year due to stress and illness.
A common sight on a farm… skinned dead bodies of foxes discarded on the ground. These helpless animals live in misery and die a horrible death. Their skinned remains are forgotten by everyone.
Investigators in Montana discovered this horrific mound of discarded bodies of skinned mink. This pile represents only a few full-length coats.
Fur Farming around the Globe
Mink in cages on a farmLeading countries that produce mink pelts include Denmark (14 million murdered in 2009), followed by China (12 million), Holland (4.8 million), Poland (4.3 million), and the U.S. (3.4 million). Finland, the leading producer of ranch-raised fox killed 2 million.

Other animals killed include two million dogs and cats, and over 600,000 chinchillas, polecats and raccoon dogs.

Trapping and Hunting
Worldwide, there are approximately 10 million wild animals trapped and killed exclusively for their fur each year.
Leg Hold Traps
Fox in trapThe most popular form of trapping throughout the U.S., Canada and Russia (top three wild fur pelt producers) is the leg hold trap. However, 90 countries and some states, including California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Washington, have banned the use of the leg hold trap because of the cruelty it inflicts on animals. It has been deemed “inhumane” by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The steel-jaw trap violently clamps down on the animal’s leg, leaving the helpless creature to struggle for hours or days without food, water or protection from the weather and predatory animals. When the owner eventually returns to collect his “catch,” he viciously kills the animal by clubbing or suffocating the animal by standing on its neck and chest for several minutes, ensuring that the pelt is not damaged.
Drowning Sets
Trappers have designed this device to drown and kill semi-aquatic animals like mink, beavers and muskrats. As the animals try to swim to safety, they are drowned by the weight of this leg hold trap. Mink can struggle for up to four minutes, muskrats for five minutes, and beavers for 15 minutes before drowning.
Conibear Traps
This vertical trap, designed by Frank Conibear in 1958, is an “instant-kill” device that breaks the neck of its intended victim. The major problem is that the trap does not discriminate. It may do its job on the animal it’s designed for, but causes slow painful suffering to the wrong sized animal or the wrong species.

However, the British Columbia Research Council proved the idea of an “instant kill” trap to be false. They discovered it takes up to three minutes to kill 90% of the animals.
Trapping Risks
In some cases, animals will try to free themselves at any cost, including knocking out their teeth as they bite on the steel trap and chewing off their own feet. In fact, it is estimated that one in every four animals trapped will succeed in amputating a limb to survive.

Many sources indicate between one and ten “non-target” animals are caught in traps for every single target animal. Non-target animals include golden eagles, antelope, domestic livestock, birds, rabbits, deer, porcupines, domestic dogs and cats and even humans. These animals are considered “trash” by the merciless fur trappers and discarded.
Seals
Fur sealEach year from November through March, harp seals migrate from Greenland to Canada’s Atlantic coast. This annual cycle of birth and renewal is tainted by a Canadian government-sanctioned hunt, which encourages the slaughter of a large number of seals.

The Canadian government and animal advocates are at the center of this heated debate. Under the reign of former Prime Minister Chrétien, the Canadian government increased its kill quota by 25% which could result in the slaughter of almost one million seals during the next three migration seasons. The government claims the overpopulation of seals has depleted cod fisheries. In reality, the exorbitant number of seals murdered in the 1960’s depleted the seal population to a meager 1.8 million. Today, the seal population has returned to a normal 5.2 million.

During the 2009-2010 season, more than 67,000 seal pups were killed for their fur, genitalia and Omega 3 oils. The fur is used to make clothing, boots and garment trim; ge****ls are widely used as an aphrodisiac in traditional Chinese medicine; and the oils are used as a supplement for human consumption. The majority of the seals are skinned alive and are between the ages of 12 days and 12 months old. Others are left to suffer after being clubbed until a hunter returns to skin them.

The Fur Trade Today
Unfortunately, fur is currently in fashion as demonstrated by the fact that fur sales are on the rise. In addition, the number of leading designers and/or design houses working in fur, shearling or fur trim has grown over the past five years. Many fashion designers are currently working with fur including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vivienne Westwood.
Millions of dogs and cats in China are bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death and strangled with wire nooses so that their fur can be turned into trim and trinkets. This fur is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species and is exported to the United States to be sold to unsuspecting customers in retail stores.

However, there are many designers who refuse to work with animal fur such as Stella McCartney and Todd Oldham, two of today’s most fashionable designers, who are dedicated to only using synthetic materials in their designs. Furthermore, it is gratifying to know luxurious alternatives to animal fur exist and, at the same time, make the destruction of countless animals unnecessary.

Feral cats are the result of a domestic cat being abandoned or lost and left to fend for itself. The offspring of the domestic (now considered feral) cat are usually never handled by people and become terrified. Many times, when approached by people, they will hiss out of fright. Given the chance, they will run away and hide. This is misunderstood as being vicious, but that is not true. Almost all feral cats that are trapped will cower to the back of the trap and shake from fright. Some even urinate due to uncontrolled fright.

Beagles are wonderful dogs. they often are bred right in a lab only to be killed in the name of science. Which is quite disgusting. They never get a real life, they're not adopted after the lab tests are concluded. Help spread the word loud enough for the whole world to want to change what is happening to our precious creatures.

Beagles are the dog breed most often used in animal testing, due to their size
and passive nature.

Beagles are used in a wide range of research procedures: fundamental biological research, applied human medicine, applied veterinary medicine, and many others...

Dogs' status as "man's best friend" offers them no protection from being locked in lonely cages and forced to endure excruciating experiments. More than 75,000 dogs, including thousands of homeless animals from animal shelters, are tormented in U.S. laboratories every year. Worldwide hundreds of thousands of dogs are used and ultimately killed in cruel and absurd tests.

Dogs are a favored species in toxicology studies. In these studies, large doses of a test substance (a pharmaceutical, industrial chemical, pesticide, or household product) are pumped into animals' bodies, slowly poisoning them.

Dogs are also abused in human disease studies, including studies of heart and hormonal disorders. At Ohio State University, vivi-sector George Billman forced surgically manipulated dogs to run on a treadmill until they collapsed from a heart attack. The dogs were killed, and the damage to their heart tissue was studied.

In a violent experiment at the University of Pennsylvania, puppies were bred to have a degenerative eye disease that culminates in blindness. During the study, 3-week-old beagles had their eyes cut out and were killed, according to P ETA.

Their life before death...
Buffalo, a large, soppy-eyed beagle, is taking his exercise at Huntingdon Life Sciences. For 20 minutes he and 23 other beagles are released from their 6 ft x 6 ft pens and allowed to trot up and down the 60 ft passage that separates the cages. Buffalo grubs at a plastic bone, and nuzzles one of his colleagues before being scooped up into the arms of his handler. "Hello my lovely, my little baby," she says, staring down with eyes almost as soppy as his. She has given all the dogs names she says, but Buffalo is her favorite.

Buffalo is 12 weeks into his life at Huntington, which has the capacity to house more than 1,000 beagles. He is used to the routine; he takes his breakfast, dosed with the substance he is here to test, at around 9 am before being returned to the pen. Once an hour to a chorus of excited yelps, a technician walks the passage looking for signs of adverse reactions to the substance.

Commercial confidentiality prevents H L S from revealing the nature of the substance Buffalo and co are being exposed to but it could be an agri-chemical, a drug or a food additive. Once a week Buffalo is taken out and weighed, his urine and f***s collected for analysis, and once a month a blood sample is taken. In 40 weeks when the trial is concluded Buffalo will have reached the end of his useful life and will be killed with barbiturates, along with all the other dogs in the trial.

This is when the real work begins. Postmortems will be conducted. Samples of all major organs will be taken, slides prepared and treated before being passed to H L S's laboratories where the effects of the substance on the dogs are assessed. Meanwhile the next round of testing will have begun. Buffalo's pen will have been hosed down and another beagle will have taken his place.

This unsentimental production line is the way of animal-based research, and very few companies do more of it than H L S, Europe's largest contract research organization.

November 2008 - For six months, a P E T A undercover investigator worked in an Ohio lab where beagles were force-fed Oxycontin, a drug that had already been tested on animals and had been on the market in the U.S. for decades. The tests were conducted ostensibly to satisfy Japanese regulatory requirements. This case led to P E T A's involvement in the International Conference on Harmonization, which works to streamline regulatory requirements for drug testing.

Get 2 Know a Cat
Respect your Elders.
This shirt is perfect for anyone that loves cats or is a Leo like myself. The following story may be a little far fetched for some to believe, except for in this day and age ANYTHING is possible and I do mean EVERYTHING with ANYTHING is actually in the process of HAPPENING. So please always keep an open mind. Never say Never. Enjoy the story.

They say that,The Felines are one of the two primary races in our universe. They arrived here by invitation of the Founders. Having successfully completed their Universal Game and completing their universe, a group of 45 Felines volunteered to come to this universe to help setup and oversee the same game here.
The Felines are a bipedal race that stand 12 to 16 feet tall. Their skin is covered by a sort of soft fuzz, and though they don’t have fur, they do have manes and both the males and females have long hair.
Their eye color ranges from blue to gold and can change from blue to gold as they mature. They also turn from a golden brown color to white.
The overall Feline temperament is warm, sanguine and intellectual. As they mature they take on more of a somber, introspective and gentle nature. The elders are revered for the wisdom, compassion and insight.
As a race they are extremely close and have a great sense of fair play. The females are revered and honored in equal status with the males. And true to the feline way, they are all very curious and inquisitive.
As part of the Universal Game, the Founders gave the Felines a new planet in the Lyra Constellation for their home. The Felines named it Avyon. Now this is not the exact pronunciation, nor spelling , but it is close enough. The real name cannot be translated into English.
Avyon was a paradise planet with mountains, lakes, streams and oceans. This blue planet was very much like our present earth in form and variety of vegetation and life forms.
When the Felines arrived, they were in etheric form, and therefore, went through the stage of evolving a physical body in which to reside on the planet. After many millions of years they evolved the lion and other felines and began incarnating into those forms.
As part of the plan, a portion of the original Felines stayed in etheric form to provide guidance to those incarnating. They would be the equivalent of your modern day Christos Beings. Remember, this was a 3D planet and once the etheric felines incarnated they would fall under the veil of amnesia that is part of the workings of a 3D planet of free will.
As time passed, and through countless incarnation cycles, the Felines evolved a line of felines that walked uprightand retained the consciousness of their etheric counterparts thanks to the periodic incarnations of some of the etheric Felines, and DNA from a bipedal mammal similar to the Ape, that was evolving on the planet as well.
With the DNA from the ape-like mammal the Felines were able to take on a more human-like body while retaining most of the facial features and other characteristics of the feline. It was from this crossing when it reached a certain stage that the genetic line known as the Royal Line of Avyon, or House of Avyon, came into being.
The etheric Felines would continue to take turns incarnating to provide not only DNA upgrading, but teaching and training in higher dimensional principals lest their planet bound brothers and sisters get stuck in the non-sentient animal incarnation cycle. As you can see, the Felines evolved on Avyon in much the same manner as Humans evolved here on Earth. The only difference is that the Humans did get stuck in the animal cycle. More on that on the Universal History page.
In time the conscious Felines grew large enough in number to take on the responsibilities of planetary guardians oftheir home world. They continued to evolve and eventually developed the technology for space travel and then warp technology. Their etheric brothers and sisters continued to act as their guides.
Many among them became geneticists (a Feline specialty) and began helping to develop life forms of various kinds for planets and stars in the universe. Some among them became great space explorers and scientists of various kinds.
It was during this stage in their development that the Felines would turn their attention to that bipedal mammal they owed so much to, and begin a program of genetic crossing and upgrading that would give them a soul and, in the process create a new species that would become known as the Humans.
After numerous crossings and genetic upgrades, the Adamic Human was made. There were two strains, the redheaded strain being the more outgoing and energetic, and the platinum blonde strain being the more gentle-natured and introspective.
After many thousands of years of continued careful crossing breeding, the Feline/Human hybrids began to be more common in the royal line of the Felines, The House of Avyon, than the purebred Felines were. Yet, this was the plan.
In time the purebred Felines would become the ancient ancestors of the Humans with only their genetic traits as a reminder of the connection between them. And though the genetic relationship between the Felines and Humans has been forgotten by modern man, the Felines remain in our consciousness as a regal creature, worthy of our respect and love.
The Felines remain the loving and supportive guardians of their genetic offspring, the Humans. They have continued in this role through time and all dimensions of the Universal Game.
Devin (Feline) is the reigning patriarch of the 9D Royal House of Avyon, and Anu (Human) is the reigning patriarch of the 5D Royal House of Avyon at this time.

Cats, Dogs, Alligators, Ostriches, Cows, Pigs, Goats, Sheep's, Kangaroo's, and Snakes are all used to make leather. Please do not support this cruel industry. Stop buying leather products all together. You never know what animal you are wearing.!

China — the world's largest exporter of leather — kills millions of cats and dogs for their meat and skin every year. Because there is no requirement to label leather products, it can be extremely difficult and often impossible for a consumer to ascertain which species of animal it has come from, and which country he/she was raised in.
