Lucy is 6 and her Summer Camp is Full this week and next...so what do we do?

We bring her in for Business Summer Camp!

Yesterday her and I went to Restaurant Depot to grab the supplies while we learned about Cost of Goods, Profit Margins, and Affordability.

Lucy decided she wanted to keep everything $1 so anyone could afford a drink if they are thirsty ❤️

So for the rest of this week and next you dont have to worry about bringing your own drinks

To support those who give all year long, the book Rescuers will be hosting a teachers' appreciation event. To ensure teachers get the necessary tools to succeed, please let us know what must-haves belong in every classroom.

The book Rescuers will also be accepting donations from anyone who might have extra supplies or simply wants to help a fellow teacher.

May has a lot of things to celebrate and we chose 3 we wanted to support this month

We usually give 10% off on Military Monday but since its Military Appreciation Month we are doing 10% off every day and 20% off on Mondays for our Military and Spouses!

Mental Health is wicked important to us so we are supporting awareness month with 10% off our entire Mental Health section! (Please separate so we can give u the discount easier at checkout)

And for Bike Ride Month we are giving a FREE paperback or hardcover to anyone that rides their bike to the store all month 😀

Happy Independent Bookstore Day! 📚

Tampa Bay is PACKED with incredible bookstores… and honestly, that’s something worth celebrating.

A customer showed us this Book Crawl that’s been going on all month — and we’ll be real for a second… we were a little bummed we weren’t included 😔

But here’s the thing…

This community? It’s bigger than any one list.

If you’ve been out hitting these amazing shops all month, we’d LOVE to be your last stop on the crawl today 🫶

We’ve got miles of shelves, hidden gems, and a whole lot of books waiting to be rescued.

Whether we made the card or not… we’re just grateful to be part of a city that supports indie bookstores like this.

This is the one near us on Ulmerton and Starkey

But the savings come from the app and texting in code words.

We found this book in a donation pile on Wednesday…

on the 114th anniversary of the Titanic sinking.

Published in 1912—just days after the disaster—this wasn’t written as history.

This was written while the world was still in shock.

Sold door to door, this book was how families first learned what happened… through survivor accounts, early reports, and raw, unprocessed stories.

Flipping through it today feels different.

You’re not reading something polished.

You’re reading confusion.
Fear.
Courage.

Real people trying to make sense of something that didn’t make sense.

More than 1,500 lives lost…
and somehow, this book survived.

That’s what we do.

We rescue books.

But sometimes… they rescue the stories we were never supposed to forget.

UPDATE:
Thank You to all the Fire Departments and First Responders that came out to rescue The Book Rescuers today!

This brush fire could easily have wiped us out if the wind was blowing the opposite way or if the heros that came out didnt show

We are forever grateful for all their hard work and heroic efforts to contain and put out this beast

It took about 3 hours to put it out and they've been here so far another 3hrs to remove the brush, cut the clearing to deter future encampment ❤️

Massive shout out to and for Rescuing The Book Rescuers ❤️🫶
