Why we choose Grain finished over grass finished beef.

Grain finished beef offers a better and more consistent marbling and flavor that our customers prefer. (grass finished beef tends to be described as tasting more gamey or like a wild animal)

Because the marbiling is where the flavor and texture come from Grain finished beef (in our opinion) is a superior product in both areas.

Due to the combination of consuming a higher energy, lower forage diet, shorter time spent on feed during finishing, and heavier carcass weights, Grain finished beef reduces our carbon footprint 18.5 to 67.5% as compared to grass-finished beef. It's just another way we try to be good stewards of our land and surrounding community.

In the end we strive for the highest quality of finished product and for us and our customers, Grass fed grain finished cows produce the finest beef at any price.
