Wrapped up the wiring on our rebuild on the 1985 organ at Grace Lutheran in Auburn, Michigan. The chests had been built with 61 notes but the console only had 56.

Tonal revisions include new reeds, clarinet and trumpet replaces the rohr schalmei and schalmei, a 4’ Harmonic flute replacing one of the three 2’ stops, repitching of the high pitched mixture, replacement of the capped metal pedal bourdon with wood, and some revoicing.

Th new console uses ship lath to match the sanctuary and the new ICS 4000 made respecification easy. The original installation had absolutely no wiring code or pattern whatsoever, so every wire had to be traced out. Regulation will take place next week and be ready for the hymn festival.
