Safeware Inc

Safeware Inc The national leader in public preparedness providing public safety products to our nation’s heroes for over 40 years. Protecting Our Customers.

Our company is built upon a foundation of dedicated professionals whose expertise focuses on serving those who serve others. For over 40 years, Safeware has been focused on one thing. In 1979, we opened our doors in the shadow of the Nation's Capitol to fill the need for a local distributor of quality safety products to businesses in an around the Mid-Atlantic region. Today we reach all corners of

the nation. In 1981, we established our Technical Services division, again to fill a need for our customers. This time providing quality service for the more technical products they purchase. Today we are trusted by Fortune 500 companies as well as key government agencies to keep their critical equipment operating, and their personnel protected. In 1999, responding to the requests of our customers and suppliers, we created the Fire & Rescue Division of Safeware. This division is now referred to as the RESPONSE Division, and is focused on supplying products and services to fire & rescue, federal & local government, law enforcement, military, and all forms of first responders. Today we are a trusted partner to those to whom failure is not an option.

Think about the safety conversations happening in your organization today. How many of them weren't even on the radar five years ago?

June is National Safety Month, and it's a good reminder that safety is never static. As technologies evolve, workforce challenges shift, weather events become more severe, and operational demands increase, organizations must continuously evaluate new risks while balancing workforce protection, emergency preparedness, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness. That's why the strongest safety programs aren't built around reacting to incidents, they're built around continuous learning, planning, and preparedness.

At Safeware, we're fortunate to work alongside organizations dedicated to protecting people every day. From first responders and public safety agencies to industrial facilities, utilities, schools, healthcare systems, and government organizations, one thing remains consistent: safety is an ongoing commitment, not a destination.

As we kick off National Safety Month, we'd love to hear from those on the front lines of safety and preparedness. What change or emerging risk is having the biggest impact on how your organization approaches safety today?

Share your perspective in the comments. We're always interested in learning how organizations are adapting to an ever-changing safety landscape.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice represents a debt that can never truly be repaid. Behind every name is a family, a story, and a legacy of courage that continues to shape the freedoms we live with each day.

Today is not simply a long weekend or the start of summer it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Safeware stands in remembrance of our fallen heroes and extends our deepest respect to the families, friends, and service members who carry their memory forward.

"Tools like the Cold Cut Cobra represent an important shift in how the fire service is thinking about EV response: not simply fighting what is visible, but addressing the heat source more effectively and with greater tactical precision."

As EV incidents continue to challenge today’s fire service, tools like the Cold Cut Cobra are becoming critical assets for safer, more effective response. Designed to pierce enclosed spaces and apply a high-pressure water mist directly to the heat source, the Cobra helps crews cool battery compartments faster while reducing water usage, exposure risks, and unnecessary vehicle tear-down.

Combined with proper EV response training and evolving tactics, technologies like the Cold Cut Cobra can help departments improve operational safety and incident control during lithium-ion battery emergencies.
