In the heart of the forest, the sacred Temazcal awaits a womb of the Earth, where spirit, body, and mind are reborn. The abuelitas and abuelos (grandmother and grandfather stones) give their lives in fire, holding ancient memory and wisdom. We honor their sacrifice as we pour water upon their glowing bodies, releasing steam infused with healing herbs and prayers.

Inside, we sing, we cry, we release. Each drop of sweat is a prayer. Each breath, a return to truth. Copal, sage, and cedar rise into the air, carrying our intentions to the spirit world. This is not just ceremony, this is communion with the elements, with the ancestors, and with the Great Mystery.

To enter the temazcal is to return to the beginning. Aho, Mitakuye Oyasin.

Buffalo & Chakana | A Portal of Sacred Power

At the heart of this earth altar lies the skull of the Buffalo, a sacred symbol of abundance, prayer, and survival among many Indigenous traditions. The Buffalo reminds us to walk in reverence, to honor what sustains us, and to give back with gratitude. Its presence calls forth grounded strength, humility, and sacred reciprocity.

Beneath and around it forms the Chakana, the Andean Cross — an ancient symbol of cosmic order and spiritual alignment. Representing the three worlds:
• Hanan Pacha (upper world/spirit)
• Kay Pacha (middle world/earth)
• Ukhu Pacha (inner world/ancestors)

Each step of the Chakana is a bridge between dimensions a portal that helps us navigate the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

Together, the Buffalo and Chakana create a medicine wheel of transformation, inviting you to center yourself in sacred balance, to listen deeply to the ancestors, and to walk your path with courage and reverence.

This is not decoration it is devotion.

This little spirit hopped into my path today and followed me all the way home. In Florida, the Cuban Tree Frog (Phyllomedusa cubae) is a common sight—shifting colors from creamy white to green, gray, or even golden brown. Their energy is gentle, curious, and reminds me so much of the sacred Kambo frog. Nature always has a way of sending the right messengers when we’re open to receive.

This image captures more than just a horse standing on a hill—it reflects a moment of stillness and connection with the earth, a symbol of strength, grace, and quiet wisdom. The horse, standing tall yet calm, seems to embody the balance between groundedness and freedom. Its posture, against the backdrop of vast sky and distant mountains, evokes a sense of serenity and presence, as though it is both part of the land and reaching beyond it.

In many spiritual traditions, horses represent power, freedom, and the journey of the soul. Here, the horse stands not as a mere animal but as a reminder of our own journey through life. Tethered, yet free in spirit, it symbolizes how we, too, navigate the balance between our earthly duties and our desire to soar, explore, and connect with the divine.

The sweeping landscape and the open sky behind it invite contemplation of the larger mysteries of existence, suggesting that in moments of stillness and simplicity, we can glimpse the sacred. This photo is a reminder that nature, in its quiet majesty, often holds the deepest truths. Through the horse, the hills, and the sky, we are reminded that we are part of something greater, a divine dance between earth and spirit.

Some things don’t need to be spoken, and that’s okay—it’s part of the mystery. As I journey through life, I’m learning and creating a beautiful dream. A dream where I connect with my ancestors and learn from those who have glimpsed the path ahead. Discipline becomes my teacher, and magic is alive in every present moment. In this dream, we are one with nature.

I often wonder where the divine reveals itself through songs and the music of nature.

It is a sacred act to capture the essence of art and share it upon the canvas of life—a tree of love blossoming with the colors of the soul.
