A slight cooling is in the forecast for central Kentucky over the next three days! Are you ready for the change? We sure are, and in anticipation of more temperate days ahead, Memories is bursting forth with the colors and textures of fall! Decorative wreaths, vibrant florals, fabric pumpkins, fall afghans, and so much more! Come see what’s new and what speaks to your inner seasonal child!

Announcing new hours!!! Marking our one year anniversary, we have a better idea as to the days and times that most of you visit the store. These changes reflect your peak shopping days and hours, so bear with us as we modify our schedule to reflect that.

The biggest change to note is we will be closed on Wednesdays. Also, there is a change in daily hours, so make a note of that as well. For instance, we will be opening an hour later daily, and closing an half hour earlier. And we will be open until 6:00 on Fridays for those of you coming home late afternoon from your commute after work.

As another way to reach more of our audience, we hope to begin a Tuesday night Facebook live selling event from the store. That should be lots of fun and give wider exposure to all the goods we have available. We will have more information on that next week.

Thank you again for your support of Memories Thrift and Vintage Market. We are really excited to see what this second year holds for all of us and for the goals of our non-profit, The Hopeful Farm Foundation. We appreciate each and everyone of you who has made our first year so special, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in anyway we can!  Whether you’re donating or shopping or both, we can’t do it without you! You all are the best!

Dear friends, my hubby has an unexpected doctor appointment early tomorrow afternoon around 1:30. He came down with a very bad cold middle of last week and has been improving, but we just want to make sure his lungs are clear. I’ll need to be with him so I will not be able to come in tomorrow. I’m sorry if this causes any inconvenience. Hopefully I will see you on Wednesday and the rest of the week. Check back to our page where I will let you know if everything is okay with him and if I can come to the shop!  Please keep Robert in your prayers.

Just a few of the amazing items we have sold over the summer to support the mission of Hopeful Farm! Thank you one and all who have contributed to our shop and our surrounding communities with your generous donations. As we head into year two we look forward to making new friends and strengthening growing relationships. Let us know if you hear of any families in need. If we are able to bless them with home goods or clothing out of the overflow of donations we would be honored! Thank you again for making our first year such an amazing journey. Beth, a local neighbor and supporter of our shop’s mission found a sweet look-a-like of herself the moment she walked through the door. We were amazed how this unique find was instantly paired with the right recipient! Beth, who had brought her sister-in-law to visit their “favorite shop” was transported back in time, commenting on how she had the same big blue eyes and flaxen curls as a child! We never know when someone is going to find something on our shelves that is significant to their life story! It happens quite often at Memories and we’re always overjoyed when it does!

Today, Glenda, a lovely lady from Crab Orchard, bought a lot of decorative glass that was on sale. She mentioned how Christmas trees can be made out of clear glass bowls, and I said funny you should say that because I have been purposely stocking vintage glassware bowls for that very reason. Glenda took full advantage of our 50% off Anniversary Sale (a day early). Claire is going to post it as an event for this weekend so stay tuned, but in the meantime, look at our lovely Christmas tree arrangement, all for half off!

Two amazing customers and their vintage scores this weekend! It does our hearts good to see the pure joy of a ‘Grannycore Haul!’ It’s almost as good as when we come across these items out in the big wide world of vintage treasures! There’s a lot of inner squealing in delight to know we’ve just found what you all are looking for! Your smiles make the challenge of curating the trends for our shop worth it!
