My story....I've enjoyed working with my hands.. designing and making things for myself and others..but 13yrs ago this for me came to an abrupt hault..due to my mother nd "second dad's" Art's need for immediate help..( Idont like the term stepparent..so I say second dad..same for my dad's wife Plum..for yrs I bragged I have four parents....we celebrated many hollidays together for yrs..this might sound strange..but hey..trust stranger things have happened..lol..but now it's only mom nd dad both Art nd Plum are in their eternal rest ) my Dad Mi was nd I are very close tho we live states apart we're talk daily.. at 92' he travels twice yrly... his family reunion nd again at xmas with us..Dad has not grabbed a rockin chr yet.lol..To retire nd deal with an ailing spouse for yrs can prove very harsh for the body and break ya down..but Art faced this bodly as long as he could no complaints..Wow!..it still tears my eyes when i recall and empathise with Art bcause I too had traveled tht same journey my husband was sick over 6yrs befor his passing..I remember well Art's sigh of relief when realizing it was his turn to set back along with mom and enjoy and be cared for ...sooo I stepped up to plate put my life on hold to oversee the care for Mom and Art I have been on board since 05'.Art's devoted acts of kindness care for mom warranted nothing less than the best care me and med staff gave ..I hope it was..my mom and I still live together..she's 88. Very sharp minded she's bedridden and requires my close attendance along with the aid from medical staff and private help that assist me in mom's care daily.(Thank God for Gud yrs ret pln)...You may make longterm plans in life but life's challanges can dish some interferences that may stop or temporarily change "the plan"... I don't regret the yrs gone by but just to say I've missed my "first passion" is midly put..I've missed it greatly!..lol..the joy in making things like wearable items to items of comforting usage.wow! so ready for this venture..not looking back only foward of what i want to achieve in have a thriving small business thts home based for now...this way Im able to oversee mom's care and have a small business with the help of a dear love one. Hi Josiah from Ghana and my grand children Ky ,Kj ,Mi & Me Me..nicknames for their privacy.. ..it's a win win Situation Celebration!
