I bet you’ve never caught one of these before! This original vintage Fur-bearing Trout is one of the strangest yet cuddliest looking examples of myth taxidermy out there. Created using a real trout and rabbit fur, the Fur-bearing Trout is a fantastic example of folklore come to life! While most popular in Canada and the northern United States during the golden age of gaffs, its origin is actually much older and can be traced back to old Icelandic tales where it was called a Lodsilungur. This great catch was handcrafted in Canada in the early 1900's and has been confusing people ever since. Perfect for the boastful fisherman who either has it all, or simply enjoys baffling their friends with an animal nobody’s ever actually caught. Swim in today to check it out, no worms, rods, or patience required! The store will be open from 12-6pm…🎣
