My new little Park Flyers are coming along nicely, with the newest addition of a "sort-of" WW1 wood-built flying machine. I named it the "Little Woody". Of course we all know that the mono-wing really never took hold during the war, however if they did, this is my vision of one might of looked like.
She flies only needed 3-channels and is very easy to build, and can be done on a single weekend, making it one of my Weekend-Warrior series models.
She prefers to fly slow and realistic, but can handle a bit of throttle if wanted, but to me flying slow at scale-like speeds is what makes this aircraft look and perform as if it were the real deal.
My kits are rated at skill-levels from 1-3 and I give this model a 2.
Specs:
Wingspan- 28"
Length- 19.5"
Motor- 1806
Prop- 3-blade 5"
Battery- 800 Mah 2S 7.4V

(I added1.5 ounces due to wind conditions in Florida)
Covering- Lightweight plastic or equivalent & painted forward fuse.
Flight time- 8 minutes at 40% throttle
Construction- Balsa / Ply

Requires- 3-channel radio system, 2S 7.4 800-900 mah lipo, 5" prop, covering material, thin & medium C/A glue, hobby knife and tools.

I still have a couple more minor tweaks to make before it is kit ready. but it should be ready early 2025.

The New! BOXTER Park Flyer

10/15/2024

Ok the first video of my new "BOXTER" Park Flyer.
Flying just after build with the following recommended accessories:
Flyski Fs-i6 transmitter
Flyski 3-channel receiver
2- 900 gram metal geared servos
1806 drone motor
10 amp ESC
Total Investment (not including radio and covering)- $95.00
Time to build airframe and wing- 6 hours
Time to cover it- 4 hours
Time to install radio equipment- 2 hours
Total time from box to the air- 12 hours
That's why I named them Weekend Warries, our kits can be completely ready to fly in just a weekend, or take a couple hours a night and extend the building excitement.

OLD SCHOOL COOL! Semi-Scale Park Flyer

I always thought that WW1 should of seen more mono-wing planes being built and used as they were mainly designed in the beginning of manned aircraft, however the bi-plane with it's shorter wingspan and more maneuverability became the go-to for WW1 aircraft warfare. Very few mono-wing aircrafts of that day were built and by WW2 technology had come such a long way with new and faster designs with aluminum dominating wood, the concept never came to be. This is my vision of what could of been in the early 1900's built from wood and canvas and used for aircraft warfare. I have not named it as of yet, and it is not a true scale of any type of aircraft, so I will just say it's "sort of semi-scale" of an aircraft that days passed by.

This Weekend Warrior takes a bit longer to build than the 5 soon to hit the market, but I keep the design simple and it still can be completed in a weekend if one wants to "binge-build".
It features:
28" wingspan
Easy to build framework sheet wood, ply / balsa construct.
3- channel radio system required
motor mount included
Cover with lightweight covering or material (as shown) Not Included.
Magnetic front nose cover
Vickers type machine gun (wood kit) included
Designed to fly on with a 1806 electric motor, 10-15 amp ESC, and a 800-900 (long type) 7.4v lipo pack.
2- 900 gram servos required (not included)
Target kit price- $69.95
Can be completed for under $100.00 (less 3-channel transmitter and receiver).
Average hourly build time- Frame & wing 5-6 hours
Covering time- 4-6 hours
Equipment install and adjust- 1-2 hours

Skill Level (1-5) = 2

Retired and working hard on my Park Flyers guys, and the WW Series of aircrafts are coming along nicely. Flew the new BOXTER today for at least a dozen flights now, but today we "finally" had no wind at all this morning and boy is it an impressive little guy. I flew the entire 8 minutes at no higher than 10-20 feet off the ground which bothered the donkeys that were in the pasture, one more than the other probably because I was landing one of my prototypes last year and smacked it square in his side, good thing it was one of the small ones right? Anyway no harm done but I think he remembers...All that is left for to complete the actual kit is to make a mold for the plastic cowl / battery cover. I don't have the shop set up yet, been working out of my garage and hobby room with a small laser. My plan is to have it up and running just after the first of the year.
So now we have three of the 6 in the WW 3-channel series tested and proven to fly well with 3 more to go and then the grueling time for making the directions. I think I am going to do paper as well as the internet. This is probably the easiest R/C plane you will ever build. I put together a total of 4 now and the entire wood build takes 5-6 hours and about the same to cover it and install all the gear. It can be flown with or without landing gear and a re-enforced light ply plate is built in for ease of installing. I am going to include a CAD drawing for bending .060 wire to form a gear, just add a couple of 1.25" foam tires.

28" Wingspan
19.5" Fuselage
1806 drone motor
10 amp ESC
900 mah 7.4 long lipo battery
2- 900 gram metal geared servos (required)

All of my kits have been well thought out for ease of build, flown and any necessary changes made. With that said I am always open for any of my customers to give me a shout if you think something could be changed and made better. I have always designed based on my interests first, then learning what my customers want and need, and making changes when necessary to appease.

The first of our WW-1 Series of EZ-Build R/C Park Flyers is actually one of the first R/C airplanes I flew and taught myself on, only a bit larger version. It was called, "The Little Gypsy" made in the mid 70's. It flew with a Cox .049 engine and on 2-channels.
My version is a smaller version that is easier to build and also with 3-channels so you can really slow it down and will fly at slow speeds as well.
We are calling her; "The Littlest Gypsy". Flies with the same power and electronics as all of our WW Series aircraft, and can be built and flown in one weekend!
This kit will be our first release and the target price (less electrics) for- $54.95.
Kit Includes: Balsa and light ply construction, molded plastic front and rear cowls, landing gear, push-rods and connectors.
Requires: 1806 Motor, 5" Prop, 2- 9 Gram Servos, 10-15 amp ESC, 900 mah 2S LIPO battery, 3-channel Radio / Receiver.
Additional Specs:
28" Wingspan
19" Length
Laser-Cut Balsa/Ply
Molded lightweight plastic front and rear cowls
Landing gear included
Hardware package
