We in The Market of Lake Geneva are forever grateful to Steve for his service and his kindness to our community. He will truly be missed by all. Rest in peace, my friend ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Community Service Officer Steven Richard. CSO Richard served as our lead CSO/Booking Officer and was hired by the department in 2008. CSO Richard was a Marine Corps veteran and retired from the United States Postal Service.

CSO Richard was a steady and strong presence, especially in the business district who always had a smile on his face and a friendly conversation to be had. CSO Richard was a phenomenal co-worker, friend, mentor and father figure to many of us and we will miss him dearly.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his loved ones, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Thank you, Steve, for your years of service and dedication to the City of Lake Geneva. You will be deeply missed.
