Learning Glasswork from a Good Friend and Teacher

I began working with glass at Georgian Court University in New Jersey where I learned the basic techniques of glass fusing and stained glass. For years after graduation, I continued to create glass pieces in my teacher’s outdoor studio, always under his guidance and watchful eye. When that wasn’t enough, and when I couldn’t get to the studio as of

ten as I’d like, I would borrow a small kiln to fuse glass at home. Little by little, one tool at a time, I acquired the equipment necessary to create pieces independently in my home. I incorporate fused glass into many of my stained glass panels and I look forward to stocking my Etsy shelves over time with many of these designs. Follow me on Instagram

We are SO CLOSE to completing this construction project. So far, it’s taken 11 months to build a workshop that should’ve taken 5. The toll this experience has taken on our lives, my stained glass business, and our overall well-being has been incredibly difficult. Ryan and I teamed up to act as our own general contractors to finish this and now we wait on the edge of our seats for inspections. Wish us luck. 🤞
