Grinding and abrasive discs types:

Grinding and abrasive discs are selected based on the material, cutting/grinding operation, surface finish, and required stock removal. Using the correct disc improves productivity, finish quality, and tool life.

Types of wire brushes and their uses:

Wire brushes are widely used for rust removal, surface preparation, paint stripping, weld cleaning, deburring and industrial maintenance. Different brush shapes and wire configurations are selected according to the surface, cleaning intensity and accessibility.

1. Hand wire brush – Used for manual cleaning, rust removal and weld cleaning.

2. Wire brush with plastic handle – Provides better grip and is useful for general surface cleaning.

3. Wire wheel brush – Mounted on grinders or power tools for aggressive rust, paint and scale removal.

4. Knot wire wheel brush – Twisted wires provide high-impact cleaning for heavy rust and weld scale.

5. Crimped wire cup brush – Suitable for surface cleaning, light rust removal and paint stripping.

6. Twist knot cup brush – Designed for tougher cleaning and heavy-duty surface preparation.
