In 2008 Tommy founded DjangoGuitars; a purpose-built specialty shop and preservation hub that brings a deeply-rooted European sensibility to the American guitar market. Tommy has restored and adjusted some of the most highly regarded and valuable vintage guitars. Tommy’s clientele includes discerning artists and connoisseurs such as Boulou Ferre, Andy Summers, Pat Metheny, Nile Rodgers, Willie Nel

son, Angelo Debarre, Stephane Wrembel, Johnny Rosenberg, Stochelo Rosenberg. In January of 2020 Tommy launched his own Gypsy-Jazz model in collaboration with Altamira Guitars. Notable instruments in his collection will be featured in the upcoming Favino book by Patrice Veillon and Arnaud Legrand. In Los Angeles in 2017 Tommy produced and presented vintage instruments in a live interactive presentation on the history of Django Reinhardt featuring author/Django expert Michael Dregni. Tommy is a recurring contributor to Acoustic Guitar Magazine on the subject of Gypsy Jazz. As a musician, Mr. Davy has accompanied and performed in concert with principal international artists including Angelo Debarre, Gismo Graf, Tcha Limberger, Lolo Meier, Florin Niculescu, Boulou Ferre. He studied independently and extensively with masters Angelo Debarre, Petro Ivanovitch, Ernest Bango, Frank Anastasio and Serge Camps.

We just had a visit from one of the most respected guitar makers in the business: Mr. Otto D’Ambrosio. He just placed one of his “Gypsy Parlor” guitars in our showroom. This particular guitar is cedar topped, Claro back and sides and black walnut neck. Absolutely stunning. It will be available next week to demo by appointment.
