I know it’s been a long while, but I’m happy to announce that Red Arrow paper goods are now available at Parish Ink downtown and online at www.parishink.com.

Red Arrow Workshop partnered with Cayla Zeek of Mattea's Hand to produce these lovely 1 inch enamel Victory Garden Pins. All $10 of your purchase will go towards sustaining the Victory Garden, a community garden located at the corner of Olivier and Pierce Streets in the historic LaPlace neighborhood in Lafayette.

The garden was created in the fall of 2015 by neighborhood nonprofit Townfolk in memory of Jillian. Jillian was a co-founder of Townfolk, a resident of the LaPlace neighborhood and a co-owner of Red Arrow Workshop.

The space brings to life Jillian's vision of providing fresh fruit and vegetables to neighborhood residents free of charge. Plans are underway to erect a pavilion in Jillian's honor. Your purchase will help to ensure the construction of that pavilion.

Red Arrow Workshop will also match the purchase of every pin sold.

We'd like to introduce you to our newest Acadiana Flag Purse and Backpack. Available for preorder now.
Jillian and I began work on a redesign early last year but were unable to complete it.
With the help of some friends, I'm happy to announce that the redesign is now complete and the bag will be available in time for the holidays and before our store closing.
The newest version features a gusseted bottom, providing a roomy interior, and a zipper closure to keep all of your belongings in place. We also made it convertible so that it can be worn as a sling purse or as a backpack with a simple pull of the strap. The bag measures 11x14x2.5 inches and is $70.

Since the July 2015 death of my wife, Jillian Johnson, I’ve struggled through many aspects of my life, including running this shop.

We created the business more than 5 years ago and were humbled by how well it was received. We watched it grow from nothing more than a couple of tables in a market tent to two beautiful brick and mortar shops in New Orleans and Lafayette.

I knew it would be an incredible challenge to continue operating it without Jillian, who was a visionary that kept me both motivated and inspired. I had hoped that in the past year and a half I would one day wake up with a little clarity on how best to proceed but I’m afraid that I’m no closer to working that out.

So, I’m sorry to announce that this will be the company’s last holiday season. We’ll be shutting the doors in both Lafayette and New Orleans after Christmas.

I hope you’ll come out and support us during our final month. And please know that your love and support, in both the good times and bad, has been so incredibly beautiful. So thank you. You are all so very wonderful.
