It’s that time of year for me. Lots of scrubbing out in the sun. Then I’ll make a couple of repairs before I spray water proofing on them and put away until we need them this winter. Please let that be a very long run until we need them. 🤣

Summer break has begun. Of course I’m looking for a part time job—teaching just doesn’t cut it anymore. But I thought I’d list some reasons why I love summer break

1. It’s my mental reset time. Teaching is rewarding but very emotionally draining.
2. I get to be creative. I love starting new sewing projects that I’ve saved for break.
3. Spending more time with my family.
4. Yard work!
5. Yard sales, estate sales, and thrift stores
6. Hiking!!!

Btw, I stopped at goodwill today and bought some “fabric” that I plan to up-cycle into some really cute things. Stay tuned!

It’s the time of year to jazz up your patio or porch with a new cover for your bench seat. This one is a custom removable cover for a co-worker. I love the fabric she purchased!

I am always learning new things. This is a custom order stock tie made with satin and lace. It was a bit tricky to figure out since I had no pattern but I think it turned out rather nicely.
