Gone are the days of the paper maps in the glovebox…but this guy is here to remind us of the days before GPS. “Honey, get the map out of the glovebox…oh my goodness, I almost forgot to order the seed corn for this year! I will call our Dekalb dealer as soon as we get home! Golly, wouldn’t it be great if we could have a phone jack in the car?”

My heart is still on the farm. What I have come to realize is that I am not alone. So many of us long for, remember, or dream about life on the farm. Small artifacts of rural life still exist. I love to find and share them with others whose hearts are also still on the farm.

Sycamore trees are beautiful and humbling. How many generations of residents has this tree observed? If it could speak, what memories would it share? Nature isn’t confined to a single generation. It endures and keeps its secrets. I love vintage items in my home for this reason. Both familiar and mysterious, they remind us of our own history, while maintaining secrets of their own past. 💕
