We’ve been quite busy since the show in Grand Coteau.

I have been working on a series of old Gulf Coast maps and just finished framing a favorite (1863 Atchafalaya Basin) in some discontinued burl moulding.
We’ll be in the shop through Tuesday the 23rd if you’re looking for a special gift.

We're almost finished setting up for "Christmas at Coteau" this Friday and Saturday at The Academy of the Sacred Heart School.

Don't worry about the weather since it's an indoor event and will have shuttles for parking.

There are approximately 90 vendors with some spectacular works from artists such as Preservation Press, Vizina Studios, Diana Heinen (Sew Crazy Purses) with her unique purses sewn from vintage fabrics and a new vendor (Missmagspjs) with some unique pajamas.

Farewell to my favorite Italian moulding (AMPF Chesapeake Teak)

After nearly a decade of using this beautiful moulding it has been discontinued, hopefully it will come back one day, it's always a challenge when you lose one of your favorite mouldings.

I had to think hard on which maps to frame with the few sticks I had on hand and decided on the 1845 Normans Plan of New Orleans, 1853 Baylee Louisiana map and the 1730 DeLise Carte De Louisiane.

We'll be bringing them and many more to Christmas at Coteau this week.

It's always a pleasure to frame some amazing local art.

This is a fine art print of a watercolor painting recently done by local artist Neal Vizina printed on Arches 140 # cotton paper.

If you have ever fished out of the Dulac/Cocodrie areas this probably was your first stop of the day for some some live croaker and shrimp before catching some large speckled trout and redfish.
