Sevya is a Sanskrit word meaning "that which deserves our care", and is dedicated to preserving the indigenous art forms of India that face the danger of extinction. Sevya works directly with artisan communities throughout India and develops unique and contemporary designs that exemplify the artisans' mastery in their craft. Through marketing these products in the global arena, Sevya provides sust
ainable livelihood to thousands of artisans, and enables them to pass this rich heritage on to their children. All Sevya products are made with the finest natural fibers and materials by master weavers, embroiderers and block-printers. The revenue earned through marketing these products is used to fund need-based development programs throughout India, under the auspices of the All India Movement for Seva.
