A sensory kit is a collection of tools tailored to individual sensory needs. Different tools support different sensory systems based on what type of input feels regulating.
This example includes: tactile tools (fidget cube), proprioceptive tools (weighted blanket, weighted heart pillow, weighted stuffed animal), oral sensory tools (chewy gloves), visual tools (lava lamp), and auditory tools (noise-reducing earmuffs).
Building a sensory kit means identifying which sensory systems need support and which environments require portable tools. What works is highly individual.
