These wonderful gifts will be 🎁 given 🎁 in December before Christmas leave, starting in the high school then trickling down to the middle school and beyond based on how many quilts we are able to gather between now and the end of November.

The Quilts For Kids Sew Day is TOMORROW (Sat)!!

We can use all the help we can get to make sure our local homeless teens have some comfort and warmth this coming winter.

🎄 Each of the quilts made/donated will be given at Christmas to one in need. 🎁

👉🏻 Please let us know if you plan to make it, so we have enough equipment and tables setup for you. 👈🏻

🧵 Bring your sewing machine, thread, and notions. If you’ve got fabric or stash to use this is a great opportunity to do that. We’ll have some simple patterns for you to use as well, if needed.

QUILTS For KIDS Sew Day

Is Saturday, June 13th from 9-4
At the LDS Church on McAlister

We’ll be piecing and binding quilts for Homeless Teens in the La Grande School District.

This is a COMMUNITY Event, not affiliated with any one group or organization, so ALL are encouraged to come and sew 🧵. 😃

We need all hands on deck to fulfill the Christmas “order” for these quilts to be given to LG High School students who are “home insecure”.

Please consider join gaining us for the Sew Day, but if you can’t and would still like to help we’d love quilting cottons fabric or batting donations.

😃 If you’re a local I’d LOVE your help!! 🤗

There is astounding number of homeless kids in the LG school district 🥺, so my friend is working to get quilts made for all the high schoolers by Christmas and we need your help!!

She is hosting a Sew 🧵 Day on Saturday, June 13th from 9-4pm. Although it will be hosted at the LDS church on McAlister it’s a community day and not affiliated with the church specifically.

Lunch will be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share and sewing things. 😅 As this is a donation event please also bring your fabric for your quilt top, I don’t know how much donation fabric there will be available.

Quilts need to be 60-70”w x 80-90”l …large throw to twin quilt sizes.

If you have any questions please let me know. 😃 And thank you so much for your support. 😍

PS. If you can’t make it, but would still like to help you are welcome to send fabric, twin size batting, and/or backing fabric. Thank you!! 🙏🏻
