The Sweet Shop Homemade Hand Dipped Chocolates, and Homemade Ice Cream! It all began on May 27, 1921 when Cecil Allen purchased a building at 1113 Calendonia Street.

The current owner William Espe, is the grand nephew of Cecil and the Espe family has owned The Sweet Shop for over 92 years. The Sweet Shop makes a fine assortment of homemade candies and ice cream. Some of our most popular candies include turtles, sea salt caramels, and maple creams. All our chocolates are top quality, hand made and hand dipped in house using only the finest milk and dark chocola

te. Tradition runs deep here at The Sweet Shop. Our candy and ice cream is made the old fashioned way, one batch at a time and using some of the same equipment, the same way it was years ago. Making quality candy takes time, patience and skill and only the finest ingredients. Our staff has over 100 years of experience! Quality has been our goal, and will continue to be.

We had a very special lady in today. Nancy (Niles) Proctor, a north side gal came in with her daughters Natalie and Angela. Nancy worked at the Sweet Shop in 1955 when she was just 16 years old! She worked here for 5 years. It was such a joy talking with her and hearing about the past. We are truly blessed to have such a neat history in Lacrosse. ❤️

It’s that time of year again! We made some today for Southwind Orchards and a few extras to sell in the store. If you’re interested in placing an order to pick some up the pick up dates will be the 26th,27th and 28th. You can call or stop in to place an order. $4 for regular caramel apples and $4.50 for caramel apples with pecans. 🍎 🤤

We made a bunch of pumpkin ice cream pies last night! Swing by and pick one up today for thanksgiving. We also made a double batch of chocolate marshmallow ice cream. The pies are $12.00 and half gallons are $6.75. We will be closed Thursday and Friday but will be open again on Saturday 9-6. If we don’t see you have a happy thanksgiving 🦃 🥧 🥘
