Knotzilla I dye based on how colors and places make me feel. I want to recreate feelings because knitting is full of emotion. Knitting for yourself is self-love.

When you knit for someone you do it because you love them enough to put that effort in. I have been crocheting for the past 15 years and knitting for the past 7 years. While I do use patterns for some things I prefer to use my imagination and experience to create interesting, one of a kind bags, blankets, toys, hats, and children's clothing. I work with a variety of natural materials, including h*

*p, banana silk, wool, silk, bamboo, and cashmere. I also upcycle yarn from old sweaters and projects to make new, beautiful projects. My son and I dye our own yarn at home so you can get custom dyed projects, all you have to do is ask!

This weekend I will be set up as Knotzilla at Houston Hoedown in Houston, MN. I will be doing drop spindle demos, I will have my drum carder there and making batts for spinning on the spot and for $10 you can dye your own skein of yarn using the solar dyeing method. Stop by and see me!

My latest knitted wrap. Not my yarn, how I wish it was! The yarn is Baah Yarn Shasta in the color Outer Banks. I got it from the LYS Yarn and More in Nags Head, NC. Having just come back from the OBX the colors are spot on. I didn't need a wrap down there, but it will be wonderful in the winter up here.

So after what feels like a year of silence I have amazing news! I don't have to look for a new yarn supplier. I stocked up on more fi*****ng weight yarn. That has been weighing heavily on me for months, because I haven't been able to find the quality of bare yarn anywhere else unless I want to double my prices, and I refuse to do that.

Next weekend I will be doing solar dying at Houston Hoedown in Houston, MN. I don't know if there will be a lot of interest or not, but I'm making it as kid friendly as possible. If you're in the area stop by! I'll have my stock of yarn there as well.

Health wise I appear to be in the clear, though I will be monitored for the next year. That's a huge weight lifted for me.

So, nothing came from all the labs I had done. I am apparently perfectly healthy, except I'm not. I have a mass where there shouldn't be one and things aren't functioning properly...but the labs say I'm perfectly fine and healthy so nothing more will be done. Frustrated and angry doesn't cover it. But there is nothing I can do at the moment.

So I guess we are going to try to get back to normal, or as normal as I can. I'm not asking for thoughts or prayers. I'm not looking for anything other than for each of you to take care of yourselves. Nobody else will do it for you, you need to be your own best friend when it comes to your health.
