It was an uplifting gathering! I left their feeling much calmer, with so much more positive energy and much less agitation. It was completely focused on coming up with a plan!

Town music was silenced! Attend this town meeting to save the town otherwise it will become sleepy and affect all events! The famous dancing duo Jerri and Jerry tried to dance in Gilkey square the other day with their little boom box and were shut down!

Some of the businesses in our building generously donated to this worthy local cause and we are hopeful that you will take an opportunity to participate on Saturday or at minimum donate to help raise money for the purchase of the hall that they reside in and for upgrades to their kitchen and refrigeration to continue to stock their shelves to help local families.

Snow geese are still here and if you’re coming into town, there’s a large population currently on Laconner Whitney Road closer to the Shell station and Young Road. Their season of splendor in the Skagit Valley will be ending soon, so check them out while you can.

After reports that Skagit Valley tulip fields weathered winter flooding better than expected, Tulip Town has announced it will open early for the 2026 season thanks to warm temperatures.

The Mount Vernon farm will welcome visitors starting March 28, with six acres of blooms, trolley rides through the fields, and Easter egg hunts April 4–5. (Image courtesy Tulip Town)
