We went on a “workation” this week to attend ACD Games Day in Madison, Wisconsin.

I’ve attended this conference for retailers for three years now, but it’s the first time Rudy has attended an event like this, and we had the best time.

Rudy especially enjoyed the seminars where we get a chance to listen to other store owners share how they are serving their communities and get fresh ideas.

Getting to see future releases and play them before they get to our shelves is always a highlight for me. And one of the best parts is spending time in person with my mastermind group members, James who owns and Berry who owns .fun. The three of us began this group three years ago now, and we work each week to make each other better.

It was awesome getting to introduce Rudy to this side of my world and taking just a little extra time to enjoy Madison and the incredible food scene and farmers market was a great way to wrap it up before we head home.

We will be back in the store on Sunday and feel energized by our adventure.
