This tarot deck and guidebook set is ideal for anyone seeking the knowledge and skills needed to learn the ancient art of tarot. Offering a fun, clever take on the usual tarot deck, "Cats Rule the Earth Tarot" ($29.99) creatively reinvents the traditional cards with modern, quirky cat illustrations.

Cats Rule the Earth Tarot goes deeper than simply presenting the meaning of each card—it equips the reader with a historical understanding of tarot, how to interpret and apply each card drawn, and methods of conducting readings for yourself, friends, or family.

From welcoming new beginnings with the Ace of Cups to facing a new guiding presence in your life with the Hierophant, each card you draw holds the power to reveal hidden truths and guide you through the unexpected events of daily life.

Ann Patchett's 10th novel debuts today. After a chance encounter, Daphne and her estranged former step-father reflect on their lives following a traumatic car crash.

I (đź‘‹Erika) might read this one. I *really* love her non fiction, but have struggled to connect with Patchett's fiction. If you love her novels, I'd love to hear why. I don't understand what I'm missing.

At the bottom of this photo is a monograph collection of Wharton Esherick prints, including pamphlets from an exhibition at the Allentown Art Museum, info about the Esherick Studio, and a form for ordering prints and notecards from the Wharton Esherick Museum (it's SUCH a cool building, down in Malvern).

At the top of the photograph is a collection of books on prints and printmaking (including Edvard Munch monograph collection), which we rarely see. These books are generally in the $10 - $15 range, but we're asking $175 for the Wharton Esherick monograph book.

"The fourteen stories in "All Roads" explore childhood trauma, addiction and the reckless materialism of mainstream American culture. Set mostly in Chicago, the stories range from the perspective of a nine-year-old girl intensely observing her new stepmother to a woman trying to make sense of her body after cancer surgery. In "Charlie," a new mother tells the story of her confusing attachment to a former mentor, uncovering the deep pain that has largely defined her life. In "The Fathers," an awkward bachelor party leads to an unexpected moment of overdue connection between the bride's father and brothers. Relentlessly self revealing, these characters vacillate between vulnerability and self protection, exposing the necessity of both."

Colleen O'Brien, originally from Chicago, now lives and works in Kutztown. Her fiction has won a Pushcart Prize, and appeared in the Gettysburg Review, Antioch Review, North American Review, and elsewhere. She recently worked as a staff writer for the HBO Max adaptation of the novel Station Eleven.

And shoutout to local painter, Margaret Noel, who made the painting that graces the cover of this short story collection.
