On the trail… noticing colors in the leaves, shapes in the moss, mushrooms tucked beside the path, and little details that most people walk past.

This week’s hike to Laurel Falls near Roan Mountain, Tennessee was full of inspiration. Every hike fills my sketchbook in some way — sometimes with a direct illustration, sometimes just with a feeling I want to carry into the work.

That’s really what Posh Pad is about:
taking those moments outside and turning them into artful goods for outdoor girlies and women who love nature-inspired design as much as I do ✨

One of my favorite things about hiking is noticing the tiny details most people walk right past 🌿🐌

This little snail was spotted on the trail at Tremont Institute in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and immediately earned a spot in my sketchbook.

There’s something really beautiful about slowing down enough to notice the small things — mosses, mushrooms, tiny insects, snail shells tucked beside the trail. They make the forest feel alive in this quiet, magical way.
