Frets finally done. Took longer than expected. Bone nut tomorrow...

Step 6 done. Step 7 has at least 4 sub-steps. Sanding and 0000 steel wool to actually finish the job. Tedious but necessary for best results. First fret done. Still long way to go. But worth it.

A side note about the blue guitar I’m working on- The finish work is nowhere near done. We decided to do this phase of the build before completing. You’ll get to see this finished product in a few weeks and it will blow your mind

A little glimpse into before and after on the crowning process. This is when it starts taking some time to get right. This is step 5 by the way. And still nowhere near done. We will get there soon enough.

Steps 3-5 done. 30 degree bevel first. Easy. Leveling, not so easy. Had to get really aggressive with that file. If you zoom in, you will see some frets had an enormous amount taken off to get level. And the 12” radius applied. That’s enough for tonight. I’ll get into the crowning process tomorrow. Peace out people!!
