We are so fortunate to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I hope you all enjoy celebrating our Nation’s birthday with your family & friends.❤️🤍💙

I enjoyed making this red, white & blue butterfly commission last week for a lifelong friend. Nothing like a classic Americana space to make a house feel like a home.

This was a fun one to do. This butterfly is acrylic & charcoal painted & mounted on canvas in an acrylic box frame.🦋

The is the first butterfly I ever made…backstory: started as a complete accident. I had begun painting something else and didn’t love the direction it was going; out of frustration I ripped it up and threw the pieces in the floor. Later that night I was looking at the pieces laying in the floor and thought to myself, “that kind of looks like a butterfly.” And I took the pieces, did some tweaking, added more paint, found wire in the garage…added it to an acrylic box frame I had purchased and the butterfly was born!💖

The start of a passion project that continues to today. Thanks to all of you who’ve commissioned and purchased butterflies from me over the past year or so. Your support means so much and creating art for you to enjoy in your homes brings me joy and fulfillment on a level I can’t truly put into words.🦋✨
