🎃 Okay, Honey & Ivy friends…we need your help settling something!

It is still summer. We’re squeezing in camping trips, soaking up the sunshine, and pretending school isn’t right around the corner. 😂☀️🏕️

BUT…this is our first fall at Honey & Ivy, and we have one very important question:

WHEN does pumpkin spice season officially start?! 🎃🍂☕️

Are you:
A. Absolutely not until September
B. The minute school starts
C. Mid-August…bring on the pumpkins!
D. Pumpkin spice has no season and I refuse to apologize 😂

Because once we get the green light…things could get a little pumpkin-y around here. 🎃

This is exactly why we love vintage. ❤️

A few new consignment pieces came into Honey & Ivy, and this beautiful old mahjong set immediately caught my attention—not just because of how wonderful it is, but because we know it came from a war veterans family.

After World War II, many American servicemen and their families spent time in Japan and other parts of Asia. They often brought home artwork, ceramics, textiles, games and other treasures as souvenirs of the places they had lived and visited.

And sometimes, decades later, those pieces find their way to us. ❤️

Just imagine the journey this mahjong set may have taken. Who played with it? Where was it purchased? Was it packed carefully into luggage or a shipping crate before making the long trip home?

Along with it, we received these beautiful Asian scrolls, which have us wanting to learn even more about their history.

That’s one of my favorite parts of Honey & Ivy. We aren’t just selling things. So often, we’re getting to preserve little pieces of family history and pass them on to someone who will appreciate them all over again.

🐿️ SQUIRREL! 😂

Sometimes staying focused on the task at hand is…well…a challenge around here. Case in point: I found this adorable little guy and clearly everything else had to wait for a minute. 🤣

But we actually DID get a lot accomplished this past weekend! We completely flip-flopped parts of the store and gave Honey & Ivy a fresh new flow. 🌿✨

Ivy’s Plant Paradise has moved, the register has a brand-new home, and our Grab & Go cooler is now right up front! We’ve also made room for LOTS more plants and added new jewelry cases filled with treasures. 💍🪴

It has been such a fun and exciting change, and we can’t wait for you to come see the new look!

And now…back to what I was doing before the squirrel distracted me. 😂🐿️

Our hearts are with our community right now. ❤️

With the fire nearby, the smoke settling over town, and so many people worried about family, homes, animals, and our incredible firefighters, it just doesn’t feel like a normal week.

We are so thankful for the firefighters, first responders, volunteers, organizations, and neighbors who are stepping up and taking care of one another. This is one of those times when you really see the heart of our community. ❤️

Honey & Ivy is open, and if you need somewhere to get out of the smoke and heat for a little while, come wander around, sit in the air conditioning, visit with us, or just take a break. You don’t have to buy a thing.

And if there are specific ways our community can help those affected by the fire, please leave them in the comments. We would love to use our page to help spread the word about legitimate needs, donation efforts, and resources.

Please stay safe, Klamath Basin. ❤️‍🔥

🚨🌱 PLANT NERD ALERT 🌱🚨

Okay, plant people… try to act normal. 😂

Because TWO absolutely stunning Ficus Tineke just walked into Honey & Ivy and they are showing off like they know they’re the prettiest plants in the room. 🤍💚

Look at those creamy variegated leaves! The pink blush! The “I definitely belong in a fancy plant corner” attitude! ✨

A Ficus Tineke is basically the plant version of wearing a really good outfit and pretending it was effortless. 😉 They love bright, indirect light and a little attention (but please don’t overwater them… they have boundaries 😂).

Come meet these leafy divas before someone takes them home and gives them the spotlight they clearly believe they deserve! 🌿

We have 2 tickets to see Niko Moon tomorrow night in Roseburg at the Cascade Community Credit Union Amphitheater plus 2 Douglas County Fairgrounds admission passes and a parking pass!

These were supposed to be for Christine, our incredibly talented handmade card artist, and me to celebrate her birthday. But life had other plans. Her precious new grandson decided to arrive a month early and is currently in the NICU in Medford.

If you have a moment, we’d truly appreciate your prayers for Christine’s grandson and their entire family. ❤️

Rather than let these tickets go to waste, we’d love to bless someone with an unforgettable night!
