N SCALE STEAM!

Hot on the heels of our popular upcoming HO scale Big Boy, it's time for you N scalers to get in on the fun!

Broadway Limited Imports is proud to bring back one of the most popular steam locomotives on the rails right now to N scale. The Union Pacific Big Boy 4014!

This release features three new versions of locomotive #4014, including two versions representing its current appearance during the tour celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary, as well as a special version depicting its unique smoke deflector appearance during a 2025 excursion between Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Denver, Colorado. Each model includes prototypically accurate details and is sure to be a standout addition to any customer’s layout.

New details being added to our 4014 model include a placard on front grab iron above the headlight, the golden eagle detail on the front above the headlight, aluminum tires and walkway stripes, newly tooled dual-beam headlight, new pilot/coupler cover, a UP herald with red, white and blue striping appropriate for the East Coast Tour version of the locomotive.

In addition, we are offering two road numbers representing the locomotive’s 1941 as-delivered appearance, complete with aftercoolers and the 25-C-100 coal tender. We will also offer two road numbers in the locomotive’s 1944 appearance, featuring Wilson aftercoolers and the larger 25-C-400 coal tender.

Models will be available equipped with our Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC system with smoke, as well as in our Stealth DCC-Ready series. Stealth models feature a Next18 compatible decoder interface and a factory-installed speaker, making it easy for customers to install the aftermarket decoder of their choice.

NEW N SCALE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Our 2nd and 3rd announcement from the NMRA show in Chattanooga is the exciting addition of our popular UP business cars to N scale. The Union Pacific "Fox River" Track Inspection Car and "Kenefick" Business Car.

For railfans, these two cars have become iconic members of Union Pacific's Heritage Fleet. Whether accompanying Big Boy No. 4014, FEF-3 No. 844, or leading executive specials across the country, Fox River and Kenefick have become familiar sights on some of the railroad's most memorable excursions.

Originally built in 1954 as a sleeper for the Canadian National Railway, Fox River has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning several railroads before being rebuilt into a theater and inspection car for the Chicago & North Western. Following the Union Pacific-C&NW merger, it joined Union Pacific's Heritage Fleet, where it continues to serve today as one of the railroad's most recognizable business cars.

Equally iconic is Business Car No. 119, Kenefick. Originally constructed in 1950 as Union Pacific Coach No. 5446, the car was rebuilt for executive service before being renamed in honor of former Union Pacific Chairman and CEO John C. Kenefick. Over the years, Kenefick has participated in countless excursions and special events, including Big Boy No. 4014's historic 2019 tour and President George H.W. Bush's funeral train, cementing its place as one of the most significant cars in Union Pacific's passenger fleet.

Our first N scale production faithfully recreates both cars in their modern Union Pacific appearance with an exceptional level of detail. Each model features individually controllable lighting, including operational marker lights, spotlights, and interior lighting, while Fox River also includes operational ditch lights. Kenefick is available with several prototypical drumhead options, making it the perfect rear car for your Union Pacific excursion or business train.

We're excited to announce our all new SD70MAC series of locomotives in both HO AND N scale!

More info HO: https://buff.ly/kqI186h
More info N: https://buff.ly/4I1tSzn

In the mid-1990s, the race for high horsepower locomotives was on. Electro-Motive Division was busy designing the SD70MAC, which combined 4,000hp (later models produced 4,300hp) from a 16-cylinder 710 prime mover and AC traction — a must for high horsepower, six axle locomotives at the time. Burlington Northern became the largest customer, extending well into the formation of the BNSF Railway with over 780 units. CSX rostered 220 versions, with 130 of those featuring the unique flared radiators — now a first in plastic with our models! TFM ordered 75 units, which eventually were rebranded under the KCS/KCSM umbrella. Alaska Railroad ordered 32, of which 12 are rated at 4,300hp and include head end power (HEP) which makes them true modern freight/passenger locomotives!

By the mid-2010s, many of these roads were looking into rebuild programs to bring them into Tier-1 emissions compliance. At the same time, many of these locomotives were also sold off to second hand owners. Perhaps the most unusual and groundbreaking second life for the SD70MACs was Metra’s design to rebuild 42 of these with HEP, microprocessors, Tier-1 emissions and higher-speed gearing for 80MPH operations. In the commuter operations universe, six axle power had not ben seen in daily service since the early-2000s with the F40C! We’re excited to
offer ALL of these variations on this initial run of SD70MACs.

Features of the Rapido SD70MAC, SD70MACe AND SD70MACH include:
• Late production Tier-1 units for the first time in plastic!
• A wide variety of phase variations covering nearly all production
• Unique rebuilt features on BNSF, CSX, KCS, and Metra
• Multiple nose and cab variations (Nose light, high headlight, Gyralite)
• Railroad and era appropriate PTC antennas, where applicable
• Three HTCR truck variations, all with rotating bearing caps (where appropriate)
• Full lighting package including track lights, step lights, and walkway lights
• Metra features a Gyralite, marker light, and emergency light on the nose and cab plus HEP, HEP cables, buffers and more
• Alaska: unique shell details for Alaska’s HEP power components
• Alaska: unique walkway grates for extreme weather
• CSX: unique rear of hood housing Eco-Trans Auxiliary Power Unit
• Road-specific horns and roof details
• Heavy die-cast frame with many separate details
