We closed the shop today to attend a very special jeep convoy with our jeep family. All the jeeps that attended received one of our laser engraved coins for Boots on the Ground - Operation Stand Down at Fort Adams in Newport, RI.

Today, we had the privilege to drive right inside lining our jeeps up in a row.

"More than 7,000 combat boots, anchored by flagpoles waving red, white, and blue, will fill the Fort Adams Parade Ground in honor of servicemembers killed in action post-9/11, including 13 servicemembers killed in this year’s war in Iran. Operation Stand Down, a Rhode Island-based non-profit comprised of active and retired military personnel and hundreds of volunteers, has displayed the “Boots on the Ground Memorial” for a decade. Each boot will bear a nametag with a photo and biography of the fallen servicemember, noting their branch, rank, hometown, deployment location, and the circumstances and date of their death. “It’s a stark reminder,” said Major Dee DeQuattro, founder of the memorial. This year’s memorial spans 100 yards in length by 45 yards in width. The memorial is organized in alphabetical order and by state, so those with a personal connection can locate a particular hero’s boot."
