Have you ever been pulled over and the cop goes back to the cruiser, and you’re sitting there waiting… and it’s been a bit, and you start thinking “dang, I’m getting a ticket for sure”.
But then another few minutes go by, and you start questioning everything like “did I pay that ticket I got back in 2015? Is there a chance I have a warrant?”
And then another few minutes go by, and you start thinking, “Oh my gosh! He is waiting for backup to come arrest me. I’m going to jail for sure”!
And then another couple minutes go by and you start really questioning everything you’ve ever done in life and what you could possibly be in trouble for… like, maybe the cops knew about that time when you were 16 years old and you hit a couple of mailboxes with a baseball bat out of the back of your buddy’s truck and you could have a federal warrant…
And then the cop comes back and gives you a warning and tells you to have a good day….???
Well, what happened was that cop definitely dropped your driver's license down the crack in the seat between the center console, and it absolutely took him at least 15 minutes to fish it out.

Now you know!

🦟West Nile virus has officially been detected in Bell County.

A mosquito trap in West Temple tested positive, marking the first West Nile-positive mosquito sample of the 2026 season in Bell County.

While this doesn't mean a person has tested positive, it does mean the virus is circulating in local mosquitoes.

Health officials are urging everyone to take precautions:
✔️Drain standing water around your home.
✔️Use insect repellent when outdoors.
✔️Wear long sleeves and pants, especially around dawn and dusk.

Most people infected with West Nile virus never develop symptoms, but some can experience fever, headaches, body aches and rash. Adults over 50 and those with weakened immune systems are at greater risk for severe illness.
