The greatest mentor, father, and friend I could have ever had. I am forever grateful for the lessons, love, and passion for fishing that Captain Ralph Delph gave to me and to so many others.
In recognition of extraordinary contributions to recreational angling worldwide, the International Game Fish Association has named Captain Ralph Delph to the 2026 IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame class.
Remembered as one of the most accomplished light-tackle guides in history, Ralph helped shape modern-day sportfishing. His unparalleled contributions elevated technical standards, professionalism, and conservation-minded practices that continue to influence captains and anglers around the world today.
The 2026 class also honors Roy Cronacher for leadership within the IGFA, Tom Davidson for founding Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and advancing science-based conservation, Patrick Healey of Viking Yacht Company for strengthening the sportfishing industry and advocating sustainable policy, and Jose Wejebe for inspiring generations through fishing media, conservation, and mentorship.
The induction ceremony, presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, will be held August 29, 2026, at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Missouri.
So proud to call him my dad.
