Are you interested in doing community beach clean ups here in Ketchikan? If so, DM me your email address so I can add you to my community clean up email list and include you on the info of the upcoming beach cleanups. I take what I can use and turn them into earrrings as a way to try to recycle/upcycle trash on the island, and the rest goes to the dump since there is no recycling center.
