Another set just arrived! Fort Superior, Pony Express, cowboys, horses and enough tiny plastic drama to keep a kid busy for hours. Vintage western toys like these are exactly why digging through The Mother Lode in Kernville is so much fun.

This hand-poured little beauty from local maker Teena Stivers has officially crossed over from candle to tiny piece of art. Currently sitting on The Mother Lode front counter looking fabulous and accomplishing absolutely none of its intended purpose. 😂

I still can’t quite force myself to burn it, but I’ll get there! Thank you for the sweet surprise, Teena Stivers. I thought I’d have to wait until your fall show to get my hands on one of these little beauties! 🙏

The only thing better than antique shopping? Antique shopping with good coffee in hand. ☕️ We made a quick stop at Rustic Adventures Trading Co. coffee pop-up for an iced coffee and couldn’t resist bringing home a bag of their Yemen beans, too. Highly recommend!

One more reason we love doing business in Kernville.☕️
