This is a guitar gear nerd PSA.

In all my years I have never owned a Gretsch. I have always loved the tones my boy Caleb has gotten from Filtertrons, but I've never quite been able to talk myself into buying a Gretsch. Enter the Seymour Duncan Psyclone HB! It is a humbucker-sized Filtertron, so no modifications are needed! I highly recommend this pickup. I mounted them in my King Blossom Guitars AEH hollowbody, and it gives me the best of all worlds. Holy moly! I loved that guitar before, but now it has personality I didn't know was possible.

Hi everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted any updates on my music page. Things have been up and down, as I am not currently playing the jazz/country gig🤯. I have gone back to working on my own material and I am actually really excited and happy with the music. Soon I'll need to start the tough part and form the band. I am also having a blast playing at Bethel here and there.

I mainly wanted to post a nerd post for my fellow gearheads! I have always waffled on tube vs modelers and multi-channel high gain amps vs low gain amps with lots of pedals. Well, I am mostly a high-end high gain amp snob and love my Mesa, but my Mesa is taking a back seat lately. Holy moly, this morning at church was some of the best tone I think I've ever had. It doesn't matter what I throw at it...single coils, humbuckers, 'trons in Fenders, Kings Blossom PRS, and Kiesel guitars all sound insane through the Supro Black Magik using a Nobels ODR and Mathews Effects Architect for drive. Thank you to my friend Brian Avery for lending me the amp and working out a deal for it! Might be my favorite rig ever!

Just reminiscing on all the amazing experiences I've had.... I want to bring them back into my life.

I miss playing live original music like crazy. I see my friends out there on the scene tearing it up, and it's awesome. I just want to be a part of it again. Soon, I hope it will be a realit since I have a normal schedule again.

I've been practicing and coming up with ideas constantly. It may come down to learning to record everything myself. I'm just a bit hampered by the ADHD and loathing for software. Something to overcome.
I would love to collaborate with other rockers, and may be open to other stuff if it feels right. I've played just about everything except jazz.

I'm getting all super nostalgic. This is a jam from a few years back. Caleb's mind just blows me away. I never really got excited about this Hillsong tune, but he goes "what if we do this?" like he does with everything else. Playing with people like Caleb and Megan and Chris Culver, Chase back in the day really helped keep me creative and on my toes. People with minds like that make music so enjoyable for a gluttonous noodler like yours truly!

I am so glad I have used screen recordings for self-critique over the years. My phone is full of them. Great memories I'll always cherish...until an EMP attack takes out all data or something. 👽🐒🌎☄️💥I wish this capability would've been around the last 20 years. 🫶

Well...one last time posting gratuitous guitar clips for real. It has been an honor and pleasure playing with such close friends the last almost 14 years. On a positive note, we can focus on writing originals and doing crazy Caleb mixes now!

I kind of had a lot built up and let it all out on the guitar. I may have overplayed a tad, but it came from the heart. 😬🙏🏻
