We recognize that not every quilt will have as much stuffing as you might like when you need a warm winter bedspread. Remember, you can always add an additional lightweight blanket under your quilt if you fall in love with one that's not quite warm enough.

Here's a common gotcha when choosing fabric: Check patterns to see if they're directional. If you're using blocks that will be rotated to create a design, a directional fabric can sometimes be upside down in the final quilt.
