Turning 60 is a Blessing:
I am one of God's Masterpieces
I haven't always felt beautiful
But I always felt loved
It started with my mother
Who now sits with God in heaven above.
I haven't always done the right things
But I was taught right from wrong
I learned from all my wrong choices
Those choices made me God fearing and God strong
I haven't always had the best of every thing
But I always had what I need
I learned all things are possible but it comes at God's speed.
I haven't always been saved
But I learned I'm beautifully and Wonderfully made
I know this from the Bible and God's son Jesus whose life he so lovingly gave.
I haven't always been at peace
But I learned to be still and know
That the God I serve will guide my path even when I dont know which way to go.
I haven't always had the greatest confidence
But I learned I have great power and eloquence
This came from falling, failing and going through all life's turmoil and turbulence.
I haven't always won ever battle
But I learned who fights with and for me
Because today at 60 years of age I know I'm becoming one of God's Masterpieces.
