I haven’t seen a silk embroidery on a wooden stretcher before…I am not a conservator so I am simply framing it as is. Requires a little build up but I think it’s gorgeous.

One of the many reasons I love my job is that when I’m working on a project, I’m thinking about the person who brought it in. I’m thinking “Oh, Kelly’s daughter is going to love this”, or “Jim’s wife did something amazing here, what can I do to make this special”, or “maybe I’ll add a surprise mat for them because it’ll look so much better”…
