Just a note to let everyone know that I will be closed tomorrow. My visit to the surgeon went well and I am planning a surgery sometime in the fall. I need a day to catch up on the mundane tasks of grocery shopping, banking, and laundry. Not really a day off since I will still have to water in the greenhouses, but a moment to stop and take a deep breath.

Our very own version of Fried Green Tomatoes! The strong sun damaged the top leaves but a quick trim shows no ill effects. This is our last call for tomatoes in 4-in pots and six packs. You can't beat the price of $5.99 for a six pack of tomatoes already with baby tomatoes on them. We have several varieties left including Sweet 100s, Early Girl, Big Beef, and Beefsteak. Come in this week and fill in those holes in your garden or grow some in containers. There are also beautiful peppers and some other veggies still available.

Surprised at how many people visited today, what with temps in the nineties and all. Thank goodness the humidity was diminished. Had great time talking with all of you. Just a reminder that our hours on Sunday are 9:30 - 3:00. Still have some fun stuff.

Just wanted to remind folks that I will be closed tomorrow June 11th. Had my brace fitted today and after our 115 degree day yesterday in the greenhouse, I will be deadheading and deadheading our plants that took a hit with the heat tomorrow. We will open again on Friday with hours for Friday and Saturdayb9:30-4:00. Sunday will be 9:30-3:00. Think it's safe for folks to plant. Have a good number of tomatoes, peppers and assorted veggie plugs. Hope to see you soon.

Heads up for hours this week. Doing 9:30-4:00 for Tuesday, Wednesday. Taking Thursday off for a leg rest day. Hopefully back to 9:30 -4:00 for Friday and Saturday. Call or message .

Diagnosis is in. A torn meniscus. No wonder it hurts. Ordering a new brace and seeing a surgeon on 17th. Hopefully postponing any procedure until fall. Will be open Wednesday through Saturday 9:30-400 and Sunday 9:30 to 3:00 and we will wing it from there. Thanks for all your good thoughts. Now let's get out there and get dirty(in the planting sense, of course).

Wow, what a ridiculously cold day for the end of May. Thank goodness I am still heating my greenhouses due to these crazy night temps. Pretty quiet today, but I got a lot of scut work done, so there is that. Tomorrow, whatever the weather, we will be open 9:30 to 3:00. Monday will be 9:39 to 4:00. Tuesday I will be closed to go and get the results of the knee MRI. Still some fun stuff, and plenty of peppers, tomatoes, and other veggies and herbs to be had. Hope to see you soon.
