Weβve had a very strange couple days ππ
Our lights started flickering and equipment started buzzing yesterday morning. We low-key panicked when we realized our main oven wouldnβt turn on, then thought about all of our perishable products in our 3 fridges, freezer, and walk-in cooler π±
The guys at AEP showed up quickly- and told me the bad news. Our system was outdated, overloaded and a bunch of other electrical jargon I donβt understand, but that I needed a professional and it would be a while before we could get power back. We called an electrician that said he could be there soon, and long story short- him and his help stayed until almost midnight getting us back in business.
I am still in disbelief that this many people went out of their way for us, when I would have totally understood if they wanted to go home at 5 and try again the next day. But they knew we had thousands of dollars of product we needed to save, and customers that were expecting to pick up orders, and employees that needed to clock in- and they locked in and got it done. Iβm tearing up thinking about it, but wanted to take a minute to thank the guys that prevented a terrible situation into becoming worse.
First thank you to the staff that were working when it happened- they were so calm, collected and sooo understanding of the situation. Even with the A/C off and the shop getting warmer they still stayed to wait for customers to pick up their orders in the dark π
Yβall are so wonderful π«Ά
Thank you sooo much to my Dad for driving to Schertz and getting the part we needed!! β€οΈ
Kirby Haertner came yesterday after I called and stayed until past 11 pm getting us back up and running. THEN even stopped by again today to double check everything on his way to another job. Seriously cannot thank this man enough.
AEP- Only in a small-town will AEP show up right after you call, come back as soon as theyβre summoned by the electrician- and return right before midnight to tie up loose ends. THEN come back the next morning to replace the meter so everything works properly. I canβt say enough good things about these guys. Thank you to Joe and Ben and the rest of the AEP crew π
Thank you everyone for understanding why we had to close for half the day yesterday, but Iβm feeling very lucky that it didnβt shut us down for longer than that. Everything is back to normal and weβre ready to see yβallβs faces come through the doors this week! πͺππ©΅π
