Hello friends 😊 We are currently living in Kenai Alaska, but I was raised in Washington and my family is still living there. We are in great need right now, and reaching out to family, friends and neighbors who would be willing to help, or at least spread the message.

This is sure turning out to be an adventure! April 23rd I began losing my vision and experiencing increasing pain and unilateral numbness. Every specialist I saw was baffled and sent me home with over the counter pain relief. After a month of this getting progressively worse, we decided to go to the ER to see what could be done. They found a tumor the size of an egg invading the brain stem and thalamous. I was told I was lucky to be alive, but I might not be for long. I was rushed to Anchorage where I was booked and wheeled into brain surgery for a biopsy. I've been here ever since. I have seen half a dozen specialists, done test after test, but no one has ever seen anything like it before. They assembled a large conference at Mayo clinic to discuss my case. My doctor isn't backing down, but there isn't much he can do. He cannot operate and he cannot treat me until they know what they are dealing with. If they can't figure it out, I will be sent to a larger facility where they can do more testing. We are on Alaska state insurance, and it will likely not transfer to the new facility. My husband has had to go on unpaid family medical leave, and we have no idea when he will be returning to work. He is now the sole caregiver to our beautiful son, whose never been away from me before, and he will have to take care of me when I get out. The hospital is repressive me home to be monitored in outpatient, which medicaid won't pay for without a diagnosis. I will need full time care as at this moment, I have very limited use over my body. Some days I can't walk or move much at all. I am nearly blind, and on heavy medication to manage the pain, numbness, paralysis, nerve damage and prevent seizures. They will be taking me off the meds and watching to see if I get worse or better. I will have no way to manage the pain and symptoms without treatment, and we will need all the help we can get. In addition to all this, my wisdom teeth are all impacted and immediately in the nerve. I will have to have surgery to remove them as well, but the tumor needs to be addressed first.

The proceeds raised on this page will go to some of the following things.
- Household bills
- Extensive medical bills
- Transportation, including gas to and from hospital and car maintenance for travel or more reliable, accessible vehicle.
- Food, clothing, diapers and other parenting expenses
- A wheelchair, walker, cane, shower chair, and other personal assistive devises.
- Household assistive devises
- A wheelchair ramp
-Adjustable bed frame or hospital bed to prevent pressure and fluid building in my brain.
- Possibly a more accessible residence, or modification to our residence.
