Our Story

Hello!

I am Sonya, a girl with a passion and drive for creating. Throughout the years I have made many different projects, but my favorite of all is door charms. Every door charm is designed and cut by Mark and I. A door charm is like a smile that says “welcome to our home.”

My hobby turned into a small business in June of 2013, called The Rustic Patch. It started out in my home but shortly outgrew my space and decided to make the move to downtown Kearney. We found a little building, just the perfect size for my love of country decor and door hangers and opened in June of 2015. A year later we outgrew that location and relocated down the street. After being open in this location for three years we decided to make another big move to Broken Bow. On June 13, 2019, we opened a small Rustic Patch just off the square. We are so thankful for the love and community we have received since we have opened.

In our stores, you will find cupboards filled with handmade good, stitcheries, signs, candles, seasonal items and everything else to make your house a “home”. We strive to have the best quality of items. We have 13 different consigners in our stores, so that ensures you that our products are handmade with love. We hand select all new product with you in mind.
