The load-in is underway! Dozens of orchid growers and vendors are setting up their booths at this very moment at the Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium for the 72nd annual HILO ORCHID SHOW, which begins Friday. Salt Dough Aroma Stones (Relaxing Edition) 😍

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water
Essential oils (lavender, eucalyptus, etc.)
Food coloring

Steps:
Mix flour, salt, and water into dough.
Add a few drops of essential oil.
Color and swirl gently.
Shape into stones with thumb indent.
Bake at 200°F (90°C) for 2–3 hours.

Pro tip: Lightly sand after baking for a super smooth finish.

We have had great feedback to this year's Hilo Orchid Show poster! The Big Island artist is Jenifer Hayes -- her studio is called Island Heritage Press -- and, yes, she will have a booth at the show.
