Let's talk systems! Remember that ZipRack we talked about in our last post? We shrunk it down to create the perfect learning tool for classrooms and educational institutions.

The Education Rack features 8 or 16 5ft ZipGrow Towers, and is available in a single-sided or double-sided model. The key feature of this system is that it was designed to be movable and to fit through classroom doors. This allows for the entire school to be included in on the action, as this system can be used anywhere throughout your facility.

One of the most unique features of this system is our channel tower system. We often get asked, "How many plant sites does your system have?" Well, there aren't any. This means you can truly customize the growing experience based on whatever you're growing. For example, you can fit 10 heads of lettuce per tower, but over 25 green onions per tower. We were thrilled to work with Rum Primary School on the Isle of Rum to bring hydroponics to their school. Isle of Rum is a small island off the coast of Scotland, which, as you can imagine, isn't the easiest to get to. This also means food isn't the most accessible either.

Headmaster Andrew McCullum helped bring this project to life, and students have had the opportunity to learn firsthand how to grow their own food. Thank you to Andrew and the students of Rum Primary School for letting us be part of your learning experience! We can't wait to see what you grow next!

We often receive calls and emails from individuals interested in a container farm or a warehouse farm, but they are unaware that other options may be a better fit for their project or business.

Over on the ZipBlog, we compared our two most popular commercial systems, the ZipPod and ZipFarm to give customers a better understand of when each system makes the most sense.

We were happy to play a small part in the first HTH Charity Golf Tournament hosted by Huronia Transition Homes! HTH is also home to one of our first ZipFarms, Operation Grow, which provides an amazing learning opportunity and workplace for the women under their organization!
